Although it's little comfort, I have acne scars on my face too.
Pretty darn disheartening, first having to endure the pain of acne, then having scars left behind to disfigure us. That's not exactly the happiest thought in the world.
Depending on how bad your acne condition was in the first place, and also what acne treatment steps you took to fight it, scars will appear as the aftermath to a certain extent. Regardless of how bad your scarring is, there are some steps you can take to improve the situation.
Some preventive measures include these:
Of course, one of the ways is to go for laser treatment.
Then, there is the common method of dermabrasion.
Some people might also go for chemical peels.
In more severe cases where the acne scars are deeply indented, your skin care doctor might suggest surgery.
Regardless of how bad your scars are, I'd suggest never attempt to get rid of it yourself by applying "miracle" lotions or masks. Chances are, these won't help, and may even add to the damage.
What you can do is maintain a good skin care regime, while you consult a professional dermatologist for the best treatment available.
And I guess you've heard this one before, don't squeeze or pop those pimples! Or only more scars will await you ;)
